Ergonomic workstations for a modern workplace

Height adjustment

Whether you opt for infinite adjustment by clamping screws, hand crank or electric motor depends on the requirements and processes concerned. Standing/sitting workstations, shift work operations, as well as the size and weight of the parts demand flexible working heights. All tables are equipped with levelling feet to guarantee optimum alignment.

Height adjustment via:

  • Clamping screws
  • Hand crank
  • Electric with memory functio

Everything in view

The optimum handling area is divided into the following zones:

  1. The work centre:
Both hands working in the direct field of vision.
  2. Extended work centre:
Both hands reach all points of this zone.
  3. One hand zone:
Parts and tools can easily be grasped with one hand.
  4. Extended one hand zone:
Furthest zone still reachable, e.g. parts in bins/containers..

Workstation floor mats/work chairs

Stress and strain in the workplace is greater than we think. To prevent premature leg fatigue, joint pains, cold feet or spinal problems, the workstation floor mats are precisely the right addition.

Tilting shelves

Simple shelves and shelves with screwed brackets are clipped into the perforated profiles and are easily height adjustable. The access height and tilting angle of the shelves guarantee optimum, fatigue-free access at all times.

Lifting element

The lifting element is the perfect add-on for the packing table. Particularly suitable for large packages - where the packaged goods are packed into the box laboriously from above. This is energy-sapping over the longer term and is not ergonomic. With the lifting element, you can lower the packing level to a convenient height in seconds and, as soon as the package has been completed, it is raised up and the packing process is finished.

The aim of ergonomics in the workplace is to adapt activities to the abilities and characteristics of people at work. We help you to optimise your workplace and work equipment and create better working conditions for your employees. Your employees will find working in ergonomic workplaces a pleasant experience and will reap the associated health benefits:

Choosing the right table frame forms the basis for ensuring perfect ergonomics in the workplace. ERGO-line offers all its table frames with three types of infinite height adjustment for working free of fatigue. What type of height adjustment you opt for depends on your requirements and work processes.

Ergonomics in the workplace makes sense: A workstation system together with its workplaces should meet the requirements of the company and the needs of the employees. An ergonomically designed workplace has many advantages: Signs of fatigue are prevented, health risks are minimised and time is saved. Another advantage is that ergonomic workplaces ensure that employees can perform to their optimum and, as already mentioned, sickness-related absences are reduced. This creates a win-win situation for employees and employers. A variety of factors influence the performance of employees in the workplace: e.g. posture, noise levels, the room climate, order, lighting and colours.

The right posture: Standing or sitting? Both! For example, sedentary work with little movement can have long-term negative effects on employee efficiency. The most important factor here is back-friendly work. Height-adjustable work chairs and work tables are essential for an optimal sitting position. The ideal working height is between 800 mm and 1500 mm. The aim is, for example, to adjust the workpiece to the optimal working position. A non-slip anti-fatigue mat can facilitate more optimal weight distribution with its resilient surface when working in a standing position and thus prevent muscle and joint pain. We supply height-adjustable work chairs, ranging from standing aids to work chairs with glides or castors and work chairs with climbing aids/footrests.

Optimal lighting for a workplace is created from a mix of direct and indirect lighting, i.e. a workplace lamp and daylight. Basically, the smaller the details on the work object, the brighter the light should be. The lighting conditions are also part of the legally regulated requirements for the ergonomically designed workplace. Ergonomic lighting has numerous positive effects that are often underestimated. For example, ergonomically optimised lighting leads to:

We have a large selection of workstation lamps, from universal lamps with/without a swivel arm to magnifying lamps.

Reach and vision are important criteria for the individual workplace design of the ergonomic workstation. Because every employee has a different range of reach according to their individual body mass. This is the area that the employee can reach without leaving his/her seated or standing position.

The workstation is a place where employees usually spend a lot of their time. Unfortunately, the ergonomics parameter is all too often overlooked when it comes to the efficiency of industrial workplaces. Because an ergonomic workplace creates ideal working conditions, which can ensure a feel-good atmosphere as well as and, in particular, ensure better work results. Three benefits can be achieved with ergonomics in the workplace: Employee motivation increases, production becomes more efficient and sick days are minimised.
